Speaker Information

Call for papers:

  • Oral presentations can be proposed by sending via email, authors name(s), title, full address data and an abstract of maximum 400 words (for inclusion on the website) to our secretariat (i.j.scholten-kamstra@tue.nl) ultimately 15 December 2009.
  • Lecture proposals will be reviewed for quality and fit to the program by the OC Subcommittee Paper Selection.
  • Upon selection, the author will be notified ultimately 10 February 2010.
  • In case a lecture proposal cannot be accommodated in the program, the author will be asked to present his paper in poster format.
  • The final program will be set up by the OC Subcommittee Programming.
  • The full lecture program will be available on this website in February 2010.
  • COSI does not support reduced fees for authors (invited or not) only for students which either present a paper or poster and have applied for the reduction before 1 April 2010.

Conference:

  • There will be assistants available in the plenary room before (30 minutes) and during each session to help you in technical matters.
  • The lecture hall is equipped with laptop, beamer (digital video projector) and overhead projector. We nevertheless, advice you to take printed slides with you as back up.
  • We prefer that you try out your presentation on the laptop, well before you transfer your electronic presentation to the conference laptop available in the lecture hall before the start of the session. The assistant can do this for you.
  • Please avoid delays between talks and be on time as indicated in the schedule. Please finish on time for the next lecture to start at the scheduled time.
  • Please, fill in your brief CV and send it to us before the start for the conference. This will facilitate your chairman in introducing you.
  • Extended abstract:
    You are encouraged to submit an extended abstract (up to 1200 words) when your lecture has been accepted or when you have been invited. At the conference, a booklet of combined extended abstracts will be provided to all participants.

Manuscript:

  • Manuscript publication, each accepted or invited presentation will be published in a special issue of Progress in Organic Coatings, which will be sent to your home or work address, approximately January 2011. 
  • The manuscripts will be reviewed by a review commission appointed by POC. POC holds the right to refuse manuscripts if the quality is not up to standard.
  • Your manuscript must be submitted to the secretariat (i.j.scholten-kamstra@tue.nl) before June 2010. The manuscript should  comply with POC instructions.
